This hotel is very minimalistic. It has all the facilities you need for your stay. Helpful staff, well kept rooms, fresh towels every day when we were there. No beds though but then again, your in Japan. Futon mats are provided along with a pillow and a blanket. Just to be honest, The nights were kind of long for me because of my aching back and shoulder not having a comfy bed did not help. probably the only "con" I can think of for the place. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room so it didn't really matter. (Tip: fold the end of the mat to form a fold that can serve as a pillow and use the pillow on top of it to support your head much better and lay on your back as oppose to laying on your side. Trust me, your shoulder will thank you for it. If you are provided with an extra futon mat even better, just double it to give you that extra cushion.) The best thing about the place was being able to get a HOT SHOWER! Water pressure was excellent too! And the toilet were normal. Ref w/ freezer, microwave, blow dryer and pans, pots dishes, bowls, utensils provided. Great location. Just a 10 minute walk to the train station which we used every time. No need for a car unless you are wanting to visit places outside of the cities. The city life here is just crazy fun especially if you like people watching. I've never seen so many people out and about in the cities in my entire life. Shibuya, one of our city stops, is just insane! In a good way though. This is the city that has that cross walk that every body uses coming from different angles. Definitely an Experience in itself. Some many small "hole in the wall" type restaurants you can go to. Also a Mcdonalds, Burger King, an arcade for the kids. Pharmacy, small hardware store, clothing shops, groceries, a coin operated laundromat other services as well. Most importantly we found the area and surrounding cities generally safe. A great walking community for sure. We love Japan!

Location was superb. We were near everything, including the train line. Staff was very helpful. They were already helping me via chat prior to arriving in Japan. They even helped us when we had to talk to the driver of our airport transfer. The space that we got was adequate for our group size. We had enough space to sleep on, unpack and pack our things, and shower and toilet were in separate areas in the room. The kitchenette was also a plus as we kept buying food to go because of our late night shopping runs. Room came with utensils, ref, and microwave that were a big help. There was also a small stove, which we didn't get to use. Overall, we were very satisfied with this hotel. Would definitely come back here! Thank you!

Great Location - we only stayed for the one night and did not check in till 8pm, which was no problem. There was a total of 6 of us, 4 boys (21 years old) loved that there was this massive TV screen, they all laid out on the tatami mats to chill and watch Anime, so they were in bliss haha. Also loved that the main 'strip' was a 5 min walk so we were able to grab some food, loads of eateries, 7 Eleven, Family Mart, Lawson and Don Quijote. x2 Air Conditioners in Room, warmed up the room quick smart. You need to take your shoes off and put them in a locker before you enter the foyer. Need to mention that the hotel is down a side street, and if you are arriving at night, no need to be worried, as it is safe :)

Nice traditional rooms with just tatami and futons (and a tv on the wall) in the main room. Pretty minimalistic but that's what we went for. The bathroom is small but functional. Although this accommodation is minimalistic we were very pleased with our stay. You can put away futon when you don't use them to have a lot of space. The place is ideally located within less than 5 minutes walk to shin-okubo station in shinjuku and there are a lot of shops and restaurants and everything you need nearby. If want to walk you can even go to shinjuku center by feet in roughly 15 minutes.

Bilal

The location of the hotel is great as it's near the station + it's near so much establishments that close later into the night. Shin-Okubo is just one train transfer from Nippori station if you took the Skyliner. They offer luggage storage (at an amazing price) which was amazing for us as we took a short trip to Hakone before returning to Tokyo. The room that we booked was perfect for 4 adults, we were able to sleep comfortable in the futons.
